Saloon Car Racing Association

 Saloon Car Racing Association

Saloon Cars is a very exciting form of regulated motor sports. The regulations are designed to keep cost down and the field tight. It is a Holden vs Ford category designed as a low cost entry level sedan class that competes at both State & National levels. The level of performance through the Saloon Car category makes it an ideal way for the novice driver to get started. The class originally kicked off in 2000 with VN Commodores & EA Falcons. As popularity grew and technology advanced the category now includes AU Falcons & VT Commodores as well as BA Falcons & VY Commodores. The class regulations are designed to keep the costs affordable for everyone. This means that many components on the vehicle, like the suspension package and tyres, must be used by all cars in the field.
